When I read such news, I always wonder are they children? Don’t they have maturity? or this is how the entire world is?

News 1: July 27, 2009 : Official Google Voice App Blocked From App Store

Earlier today we learned that Apple had begun to pull all Google Voice-enabled applications from the App Store, citing the fact that they “duplicate features that come with the iPhone”. Now comes even worse news: we’ve learned that Apple has blocked Google’s official Google Voice application itself from the App Store. In other words, Google Voice — one of the best things to happen to telephony services in a very long time — will have no presence at all on the App Store. If there’s ever been a time to be furious with Apple, now is it.

News 2: July 29, 2009 : Google Pulls Apple from Search Results

Google’s official explanation for removing Apple from its search results came from Vice-President in charge of search, Marissa Mayer, “Those search results duplicate a lot of the functionality of other sites. For example, people can find cell phones on many other sites. We just think this makes it easier for our users.” Exclusion from the search results could mean lower profits for Apple, as 90% of visitors reach their site by typing “apple.com” into Google.

I personally think that news 1 and news 2 are interrelated and Google might not be as Good as we think it is. While reading these stories do you get a feeling of history being repeated as in the days of browser wars? me too…
