Excursion to Chidambaram and Pichavaram – Part 2/2
As I have promised earlier, here is the snaps from pichavaram.
The Pichavarm mangroves are considered among the healthiest mangrove occurrence in the world. It is the second largest mangrove forest in the world. It consist of a number of island interspersing a vast expanse of water and covered with green trees. The area is about 2800 acres and is separated from the sea by a sand bar which is a patch of extraordinary loveliness.

The following two pictures don’t do justice to the actual scenery. It was awesome and wonderful. It was really great. It was like watching a cinema.
While coming back home, it rained. I tried to take a nice shot but, couldn’t. Here is that snap.
