Finished reading 10 People Every Christian Should Know by Warren W. Wiersbe. This is a great book for getting an introduction about some evangelical giants. Coming from a non-evangelical tradition, this book is an eye opener. It introduced me to a new spectrum of people and their inspiring strong faith.

But sadly the author is completely biased by his evangelical point of view. Specifically on Card. Newman’s Chapter. The author fails miserably in describing Newman’s search for the truth. He says Newman falls short in preaching Gospel and specifically the author claims that Newman did not preach “salvation thru faith in Christ” but the author does not realize that bible itself does not teach that salvation is thru faith ALONE (James 2:24). Also the author claims that Newman is better diagnostician than a dispenser of medicine and his sacramentalism is something not to be followed. But the author fails to note that Newman’s “sacramentalism” was the medicine he proposed. I find this down right lacking knowledge in this subject, if not then at the very least deceptive.
